Wings of Victory and A Special Hi!

Over 350 of us voted in 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a 24-hour record for GS, not surpassing last year's overall voter turnout - but heck, last year we had twice the amount of time to vote. Congratulations GS! A few of us wanted to say hi, and invite you all out to a party we are throwing in your honor.

11 p.m. Wednesday April 18 - Radio Perfecto at 1187 Amsterdam Avenue (118th and Amsterdam). Come on down and hang out with a hundred or so of your closest friends in GS, and grab happy hour priced drinks and discounted wings. Oh, and don't forget to answer "What if GS could?" in the comments section of today's blog. GS, we did it!!

What if one day, GS could................

First, I would like to say that it is itself a great achievement to incorporate Video, bloggs, youtube, and Facebook all into one to convey the GSSC's message to the student body. I hope this starts a tradition of putting faces to the names of council members. I hope that video bloggs become a regular method reaching out to the student body.
Second, after 4 years in GS, I can say for certain that I have seen great improvement in our student's involvement as well as pride in our school. I am confident that Nicko, Chikodi, and the rest of the GSSC will continue the nourishment of those sentiments.
Lastly, Chikodi, you shaved your beard?

Limit Akiva's statements to say, a max of 110% of other post's total characters?
Make sure that when they say GS is probably getting no more than $10 mil of the $400 mil, that we actually get at least 2 or 3 of that 10 milion?
Help attract more students with children, local scholars from the community and perhaps even some athletes?
